The salmon experience
Hello there,
I recently went to a fish hatchery with my mom and my mom's friend family to see some Salmon and other types of fishes. When I got there, there was a lot of booths in the place. Then we went to check out the actual creek and hatchery. There is a creek, just no water was to be found anywhere and there were no salmon. But the eggs are pretty cool so very nice of the hatchery.
Because of no actual salmons, off we go to Lion Park. As you might remember from last time, Lion Park is very cool and now they have fishes. Now my mom's friend family have two kids. The younger kid, name Kiet, was with us. Now, Kiet is a very energetic kid, and it's like he consumed at least 5 cups full of sugar everyday. He also likes fishing, and the river in Lion Park just so happen to currently have a lot of fish in there so that's where we went with his dad.
There were a lot of fishes in the river, like hundreds and thousands of fish, all swimming. And they are massive, two baguette long and 3 vertical books thick. Some got stuck on land, I think they're dead but it's just life. Now, even though there were a lot of fish, none of them were attracted to the bites casted into river. Now while we wait for Kiet to catch a fish, let's talk about salmon.
The stereotypical salmon on any where on the internet is the Sockeye Salmon. With the red body and green head. The ones in the river was not that type. In fact, I don't even know if it's even salmon. One more thing, salmon was born in the river, stay there for 18 months, then they go to the ocean for 18 months, then come back to the river, lay egg and die. The one that is in the river is not edible, they are basically zombie salmon. Now, what are zombie salmon? Well, they are basically salmon but they cut down on their energies spending as low as possible and start rotting on their way to the place and when they give birth to the eggs, it will die of exhaustion. Most of the salmon you ate was from the ocean. Also, salmon taste pretty good.
It probably been 45 minutes before we all gave up and went back up to land. My mom and her friend also arrived with pizza. The pizza was great and after we throw some frisbee, we went back to the river and did some more fishing, but this time on the opposite river banks. On the other sides, it reeks of dead fish. Then Kiet had the genius idea of pulling a dead fish up. After giving it a proper funeral with rifle shots, I flick the fish down, back into the river. There was also another fish rotting but we don't talk about that one. Then after it was all over, we said goodbye and went home. It was a fun trip and I never thought I'll go to the same place twice.
I'd like to give a huge thanks to Kiet's mom for the pizza and Kiet's dad for taking us to the river. Kiet is a fun kid to play with. So, final rating: 10/10 experience.
Hope you often have fun experience and review it on your blog to record the good memories
